The Best Kept Secret In Womens Well Being And Personal Development

My Thoughts Pollinate the Ether
and the seeds of my intentions
grow in the garden of my life.

Thoughts are powerful, electrical currents that influence both the inner and outer world.

Some thoughts are like weeds that need to be uprooted and thrown away, and other thoughts like I Can Do It will enrich the garden and seed new growth.

Wonderful things
are now in my hands.

As I meditate on the blessings in my life, I celebrate my hands as the instruments that care for my loved ones, comfort my friends, and co-create with the world around me.

May hands write my goals, hopes, and dreams, and draw my vision for the future.

I choose thoughts that enrich
peace of mind and
harmonious relationships.

Life is like the ocean. There are high tides and low tides. rough seas and smooth sailing.

In an instant the weather can change to bright and sunny or dark and broody. Gratitude and a positive mind-set are powerful oars that steer our boat into safe and peaceful waters.

BIG GIRLS LITTLE COLORING BOOK - Healing Mandalas For Relaxation and Stress Relief

There are thousands of colouring books on the market and the number is increasing daily. They cover all kinds of themes, hobbies, movies, TV shows and more. With so many titles from how do you know which to choose so that you make the most of your time and money?

Just about any sort of coloring book can be enjoyable and many people say it gives them a break form the chattering mind.
Coloring is a form of open eyed meditation. It is soothing and calming as well as being good fun. But is that all there is to coloring?

When used as an
aid for developing intuition and enriching creative capacity to meet life’s challenges it can be so much more powerful.
It is well known as a simple relaxation tool but few people realise that when the coloring process is used to its fullest the results can be astounding!

All this just from coloring? It may seem fanciful. Can it really be true?

Because coloring a Mandala is a form of meditation it
provides access to the deeper parts of the psyche, specifically, that part of your mind that promotes healing and self correction. We all have these capacities within us but too often the pressures and stresses of normal everyday living blocks access to our deeper, intuitive self unless deliberate, mindful steps are taken.
Scientific studies compared a number of stress management techniques in over 500 executives and found that not only was colouring more effective overall than the other techniques tested, it was longer lasting.

You see, in brain studies we see that everyday activities take place at the Beta brain wave level.
Colouring produces Alpha brain waves and also mediates the production of stress hormone levels.
Alpha brain waves bridge the gap between our conscious thinking and subconscious mind. Essentially, when we become stressed a phenomena of Alpha blocking may occur leaving us in an over aroused (this word has sexual connotations) or overstimulated state and unable to relax.
Evidence shows that colouring stimulate alpha brain waves.

Carol Omer began creating healing mandalas for relaxation and stress relief while working with homeless women and single mothers in crisis.

She wanted to develop
tools that are fun and enjoyable and could be used to enrich and empower womens lives.
Carol found that not only were the women in her groups requesting the mandalas to colour, so were many of the social workers and counsellors associated with the shelter.
As the word got out, more and more
women found Carol’s mandalas therapeutic and very enjoyable. Their feedback was that coloring helped them to relax and reconnect with their creativity. Staff reported that they were effective both as a relaxation tool and an educational one when accompanied by affirmations.

The affirmations and life skills techniques in the book are universal and encourage women to to develop their innate creativity and intuition in their daily lives.

The
Big Girls Little Coloring Book has now grown in popularity around the world and is published in a number of European languages. Big Girls Coloring Circles are now in Australia, the United States, Canada, Malaysia and India.
